Dear Washing Machine,
You have been a part of my life for so long, longer than my oldest child. What can I say, we have shared many good and bad times together.
I will always remember how loud you were during the rinse and spin cycle, it always sounded like the shuttle blasting off into space. We always knew when the laundry room door was open, as you would literally echo throughout the house.
At the end of our love affair, you were slacking in the cleaning and spinning department; but I overlooked it because we all know a relationship is full of compromises.
Finally, it was too much. I had to let you go, when you decided you wanted to stew in your own filth and I had to climb on to you, to scoop the water out of you.
I have moved on, I will now share my life with a more modern machine. I am disheartened by the fact that high efficiency means high maintenance (so typical), but it must be done. In the long run, it will be less of a compromise and more serene.
Take care, may you find another to mend your ways or serve the needs of other appliances.
Sincerely,
Acting Out Mama!
